This is a Lib Dem Blog methinks, whoever it is is promoting the Guardian
also whoever is writing it doesn't know what they are talking about.
As the CEP are not a political party the blogger is clearly even more confused then their ramblings convey.
Radical Localism - tee hee hee - that's definitely a Lib Demmer, only a Lib Demmer would come out with such rubbish - I guess radical localism is giving our sovereignty to Brussels? Because sure as hell Counties are a thing of the past under Labour's regional plans, so they are also ignorant that their soon won't be any counties to devolve to.
Yawn............no one has yet put forward a case WHY 50 million people shouldn't have their own parliament and freedom from intereference from external countries. All the arguments that gave Scotland a Parliament apply equally to England, so I think this LibDem wet still have their head lodged firmly in a location where LibDems are all too frequently being found - but then what's new? |

More power to your elbow mate - although you don’t expect them to take any notice of reasoned argument do you? The sacry thin is that their requests will not only unravel the union (which by the way the English spent several decades achieving to bring the Scottish to heel) but it will unravel the regions of England, especially as most of these people seem to be centered in the South East and Home Counties. I have to say If I were Welsh I would be very worried by these people, especially as Wales is in the unfortunate position of being unable to be self sufficient, having been raped of iits natural resources (coal) by the English. If I were Northern English these people would be encouraging me to open negotiations to move the Scottish border a bit further south, because you can bet that the North of England will get a raw deal as all of the provinces have done in the past.
I have visited their websites and found that many of the forums are not available to public readership, only to those who ahve a username and password, now that makes me wonder just what they have to hide, especially when one of the forums appears to be about religious issues. These people are not interested in public debate, or logical arguments they are simply more interested in attacking people like us who don’t agree with what they say; basically they are no more or less than playground bullies…

I too am unable to make further comments on the thread or the one the CEP have a link to. Strangely I was not abusive or even argumentive I only asked them to fight with me for a vote of the people of England.
They seem to like to debate against peoples opinions on the English parliament breaking them down paragraph by paragraph but remain quite on an easy yes or no question of an English vote.
It seems to me certain people believe they know what is best for the English and will deny them their democracy to give them it. |
