Will YOU stand up for England in the 2010 General Election ?
Introduction
Standing up for England with the English Democrats at the 2010 Elections
To get as far as reading this document, you must find yourself frustrated with the current state of our Country England, and the traditional political parties, that wish to abolish England.
Since its creation in 2002, the English Democrats has developed into the 7th largest political party in England, and is indeed easily the largest English Political party.
The English Democrats, have always aimed to position our party, as the English equivalent of the Scottish National Party or Plaid Cymru the Party of Wales, this we believe is now accepted in 2009 by the media and the BBC,
2009 gave us a great platform with the election of English Democrats’ Peter Davies as Executive Mayor of Doncaster – putting the English Democrats “in control” of the 2nd largest Mayoralty in England.
For 2010, in addition to our two best prospects Doncaster (Yorkshire) and Dartford (Kent), we hope to achieve a break through to allow at least one English Democrat MP into the House of Commons (Westminster), as the Scottish National Party did in the 1970’s.
To support this strategy it is fundamental to ensure that 120 English Democrats stand in Parliamentary Seats all over England for a National TV Party Political Broadcast. This is because, in addition to leafleting, TV has proven in 2009 to be an essential media to ensure that the English Democrats are taken seriously by the voters.
Standing as a Local Councillor in an area where we have an English Democrats’ candidate challenging a Westminster seat, will also help our 2010 campaign the process is the same, however no Deposit is required to stand as a Councillor. You can stand as a local councillor mainly where you live or work.
How do you stand as an MP with the English Democrats ?
We have a very simple A, B, C process, if you wish to stand as an MP.

They should then talk you through the process (either by phone or in a meeting), and give you sample copies of the necessary forms and effectively hold your hand.. If you any queries about what the Council says, then please speak to me, Steven Uncles, and I will try to help.
C) Then attend an informal meeting with your local English Democrats’ County or Area Chairman to confirm WHERE you wish to stand, and how the English Democrats can help in your campaign, and ask any queries, following your meeting with your LOCAL Council. Please also complete the Protocol of Association Document at this time.
